Bio

Hey, my name's Daniel... I'm just a teenager in Georgia, lol. Nothing spectacular :-D. I was a military brat for most of my life and lived in Hawaii (where I started piano), Korea, and Illinois before moving to Savannah, where my dad retired. Since then, I've been getting into music (piano, and very recently I've discovered an interest in voice) a WHOLE lot more. Like, in middle school, I hated music and wanted it to die. Then I discovered that I knew how to play the Mario Bros. theme... and my piano teacher told me I had perfect pitch or something like that, which only about one in every few thousand of people have (which I don't buy)... but it made me think I was unique enough to at least trudge through the years. Yay Mrs. Herod.

Of course, music *is* my life, metaphorically. My life outside of my "life" is mostly just school and church. I love to keep busy, so I try to force myself into ungodly amounts of academics. I'm participating in the IB program, a group which here is best described as "horrid teachers who like to gangrape their students with too much homework at the same time". I participate in my church regularly... the youth group, bible studies, morning and night services on sundays, other events that occur on weekends. I know, it's not regular to do all that, but then again, I do have a tight-knit group of friends that are centered around my church, and our youth leader rocks, so I have an excuse.

Stuff I like doing/want to do: Gymnastics. I've recently had to stop tumbling lessons because of schedule conflicts, but I plan on going into gymnastic training during my Senior year. It's not like I'm going to be in the Olympics or anything: I just love the idea of being able to do all that stuff. I love to play/write music... and if it were up to me, I'd play video game songs and write for Nintendo someday, lol, but only as a side job. Swimming, soccer, making sure I don't turn into too much of a stereotypical geek, all that jazz. If I find something I like, I love to keep it with me wherever I go, so I memorize and repeat it a lot at any random given time. For instance, I had listened to the soundtrack of the musical "Wicked"... and there's a song called "Because I knew you...". Well, I was eating pulled pork, and I stopped, stared at my food, and started to sing... "Because I knew you, I have been changed...." :-D

The few times I *do* get free time, I usually get together with my friends and coordinate movie nights or we just hang out somewhere, usually the local ice cream place called "SweeTreats". During those times, we usually end up not doing anything related to our setting. During movies, we mess with each other and once even played LoTR Monopoly. In the ice cream place, we play team chess or Super Smash Bros. Melee. In short, we enjoy randomocity.

I love meeting new people just for the heck of it. If you meet someone new, at least offer your hand to shake. The worst that could happen is not getting a hand in return, at which point you're right where you left off at. If you shake a hand and it turns on you, you've learned a lesson. If you shake a hand and it later turns into an embrace, you've made a friend. If you shake a hand, then later cannot find it, at least one more person has left a handprint on your life, and chances are you did the same to them.
